The Country Regions card displays a geographically organized hierarchy of locations within the selected country, from administrative regions down to individual archaeological sites.
Clicking on any entry expands it to reveal the locations it contains. Each level can be expanded further to navigate deeper into the hierarchy.
The eye icon at the right of each entry opens its descriptive record in the Location Record card and displays its position on the Google Maps card.
At site level, two icons indicate the type of geographic data available:
The map icon indicates that the site has a defined geographic area (polygon).
The flag icon indicates that the site has an exact geographic coordinate (point).
The pin icon can appear at any level and indicates that the location has no coordinates of its own, but an approximate position can be inferred from a broader area in the hierarchy. The map will display it at that approximate position.
